friday action

not many golfers on course folks. rajan bedi took on happy and amit over 14 holes, result of this match will be posted soon. gurm and adya were on the practice range. adya was seen hitting the ball like a dream, the balls were going straight and long, it was poetry in motion. if u want to play with adya please demand a bagfull of strokes. gurm was hitting everywhere but straight, lots of shanks too. gagan dhaliwal arrived late and went straight to the range ( watch out deepak).

PUNEET KHANNA

Puneet hasnt been seen on the course lately. Maybe its the heat, so he has found a new game to play. must be fun.

nothing much to report as most of the golfers are away. js grewal and rs bajwa off to manali. ks ghumman, amit verma, tps gurm off to McLo. parambir off to obama land. neeraj thapar in belgium. will start giving regular updates within a few days. cheers

vishal adya is practising 5 days a week. watch out everybody. either avoid playing with him or demand plenty of strokes. he is in great form.

Apparently, Stenson stripped to his skivvies to avoid soiling his clothes from hitting out of the water hazard. But c'mon, doesn't he get those stylish threads for free anyway? Surely he could have borrowed Fanny's caddy bib. Maybe Stenson signed with a new underwear sponsor that demanded more exposure. On second thought, I think he was simply looking for a good excuse to show off that professional athlete bod of his. Golf is a sport, right?

monday action

Spotted on the course were Mr Phoolka and group playing 18 holes. On the practice range Rajan Bedi, V Adya, Dr Bath and TPS Gurm were seen hitting millions of balls.

weekend action

On a breezy saturday morning ks ghumman and Tps gurm took on parambir grewal, vishal adya and neeraj thapar ( adya centre pin). It was a close fight but gurm and ghumman prevailed in the end. Adya was not in great touch and parambir just could not get the ball in the hole. but they are fighters and will come back with a vengeance.
Also spotted on the course were Santokh singh, ajit grewal ,RKS Grewal and Col Bhalla and his group.

june medal round

Vinny

we at Rgc are delighted to have viren (vinny) ghumman back in ludhiana.He still hasnt shown up at the course but we are expecting him to play the medal round on 28 june. He played all kinds of games ;-)) but golf in delhi. we might give him a handicap of 10. get back on the course vinny. they are the only holes ull get to play in ludhiana.

NORTHERN MOTORS MEDAL ROUND

Vishal Adya won the medal round for the month of may 2009. There was a tie between him and Rupinder singh at 7 over par. Vishal having a better back nine won the title. Parambir Grewal finished third at 8 over par( a double bogey on the last hole cost him the title).
The longest drive went to V Adya (341 yds). not bad for a vegetarian.
The closest to the pin was won by Col DS Gurm. In the nett category Puneet Khanna won the first prize.
